T.O.Y Time

T.O.Y Time is a grassroots initiative that was developed by Mariah Morris and the 2019 & 2020 Burroughs Wellcome Teacher of the Year cohorts in response to the COVID-19 school closures. T.O.Y Time seeks to support teachers and students across North Carolina during remote learning through a three-pronged approach that highlights teacher leadership and expertise. At T.O.Y Time, we believe in Teaching on YOUR Time.

We believe that the teacher-student relationship is at the core of student learning. We believe this relationship is essential to our education system and cannot be replicated by online programs. T.O.Y Time seeks to provide students with a social-emotional connection to teachers across North Carolina when they cannot physically be in the classroom.
